Paintball games are played by the players firing pellets filled with paint on their opponents. It’s a live action war and strategy game, the usual objective or winning move is to capture the flag of the enemy’s camp. The primary paintball game was played on June 27, 1981 by a platoon of united states marines in basic training.
The sport of airsoft was originally created in Japan, as were the original airsoft rifles/guns. One of the mains reasons for this is because in Japan, guns (especially pistols) are illegal to even own for almost everyone; and even shotguns are near impossible to own in many cases.
Airsoft is a sport that is comparable to paintball. However, the airsoft guns used do not leave any visible mark, since they shoot plastic BBs rather than paintballs. While there are different types of airsoft rifles, they are all based on using compressed air in order to fire.
