Scary But Fun Halloween Outfits
When is something scary a whole load of fun? It would probably be either when you're a horror movie fan or lover and indulging in a weekend movie run with like-minded friends, or, the more public domain of the Halloween celebration come October every year. The first has its firm followers as otherwise the genre would have died a silent death a long, long time ago instead of thriving like it is in recent time with copycat slasher, crawling ghosts and gory ghouls flourishing like mushroom after a rainy day.
Though both the above mentioned are followed throughout the globe, but it's the Halloween celebration that scored over the former as its parent approved and children can also participate. The festival has itself evolved and has come a long way. It was celebrated at the end of harvest season by the Celtic people. The word Halloween is derived from All Hallows' Even(ing). It is believed that on this day, a holy man and a woman would pick up the bones of the animals scarified in order to appease the nasty spirits.
The myth is that the said day of Halloween would occur an aberration in the boundary between the living and the dead, and while the former would never thought of crossing over, it is surely not the case for the latter. The holy men (and women?) believed that if these spirits do crosses over, they would wreak havoc with pestilence and sickness, and thus the sacrificial ceremony over a roaring bonfire. While they chuck in the bones into the blaze, their followers would meanwhile try their level best to confuse the spirits gathering at the invisible barrier cum boundary by wearing horrifying masks and costumes. The latter, it seems, is how the concept of the Halloween celebration came about, with children's wearing all manners of costumes featuring popular ghosts, ghouls, goblins and monsters, while going from door to door seeking "sacrifice", no longer in the form of bones, but confectioneries like sweets, chocolates and gums.
The moms and dads should not be left behind and should be given equal opportunity to celebrate the festival. To look at it, a Halloween party means more fun for the adults than for the children. While the children will be busy crowding the streets the adults' would however undergo some planning for the Halloween on the 31st oct.
Most of the time, these Halloween parties are organized on the basis of a particular theme. A few examples are Black Masque of Edgar Allan Poe's short horror tales, or the Vampires of Transylvania, or the newer Asian-horror movie inspired themes. While the host should keep each and everything in mind to be perfect, he should not forget about the costumes that people will wear and should match with the selected theme. One good example is Halloween sexy costumes. These have a wide range of fictional and mythical characters.
A woman who is really out to show off her (ahem) assets would not go wrong with Halloween sexy costumes queen in comic character Vampirella, with her plunging neckline, bare back and blood red suit. The only drawback would be that it would not scare away but attract attention to you, but, Hey! You could always back the costume up with an Igor-costume assistant complete with dog-chain for a cool, and cruel, mistress and slave combo. Getting your hands on creative and out of the norm adult costumes during Halloween might be a bit difficult, however, with everyone probably going for the snazziest, sexiest, and scariest costume they could lay their hand on. The only thing that would differentiate your Frankenstein from the other lumbering, looking-for-a-mate, monster, is your creativity in putting some of your personal input. As it is Halloween, going for the bizarre and utterly shocking shouldn't be a problem for those putting some great touches to their otherwise mundane adult costumes. This facet of the getting ready for the Halloween night all adult party is really the most fun part of the whole thing. After that, it's just a matter of enjoying one self.
